28 Enchanting Traditional Advent Calendars

Christmas begins in earnest on the first of December. To our minds, that is the date from which it becomes acceptable to put up a tree and lights as well, of course, as marking the day we open the first of the miniature 24 doors that take us right up to the big day. We believe that you are never too old nor too young to delight in the annual tradition. The question is not whether to get an advent calendar, but which one to buy and, crucially, whether it should contain chocolate or not. We present a handful of the most beautiful ones we have found – from the refillable to those that light – whether you’re enjoying them with your kids, or just for yourself.
