Ten Minutes with... Serena Hood, Co-founder of Collagerie

Serena Hood is the co-founder of shopping platform Collagerie along with fellow British Vogue alumnus, Lucinda Chambers. In addition to her tenure as executive fashion editor at the glossy fashion bible, she has also worked for Giorgio Armani and Marc Jacobs. In short, she’s no stranger to fashion front rows; she lives and breathes style; and we pore greedily over her edits every single time. Here Serena shares some of the things she loves most in world.

Favourite place in all the world?

There’s no place like home.

Dream holiday?

I would love to go on a safari to the Serengeti with all my family. It looks completely magical and has always been a dream!

Proudest professional moment to date?

Winning the Good Web Guide’s Website of the Year award in 2021 was a very proud moment indeed.

Best film you’ve seen recently?

I recently took my children to see Lyle, Lyle the Crocodile and was dancing in my seat.

Best binge-watched TV show?

The Morning Show. If you thought Jennifer Aniston was brilliant at playing the character Rachel, you will love her performance in this.

Top podcast of the moment?

Diary of a CEO. I am fascinated by founder journeys and am always gripped by the rollercoaster rides of guests on this podcast by Steve Bartlett.

Your hero?

My mother. The reasons why are endless.

If you were an animal, what would you be?

A bird – I’ve always wanted to fly.

What did you want to be when you grew up?

The Boss.

Worst job you’ve ever done?

Teaching rock climbing as a camp counsellor.

Favourite dish to cook?

Anything that takes 20 mins or less

The River Café.

What tune always makes you want to dance?

StepsApp. I always aim for at least 10k per day.
